I really love this one. It looks like it has an environmental message. The faded machine is the best part, and the images in the sky bring the color scheme together by adding some reddish-purplish tones to an otherwise pale blue.
I think the sidewalk could use some texture.
Very polished!

I think this is a very successful image. The division into thirds is interesting enough to keep the eye moving throughout the image and definitely creates fore, middle and background areas.

The blending modes were used pretty successfully, although I am a little disturbed by the pabst can but I can't seem to pinpoint why, possibly because it has an interrupted edge near the top with the brighter background item overpowering it.

the cripsness of the tree trunks helps to reinforce the idea of recession as the trees and houses in the back are not as sharp and this helps them recede. My favorite part of the image has to be the hand drawn elements up in the sky, they are intriguing and make me lean forward to see them better.

My main complaint is the blown out colors of the sky and the bloom around the trees. I don't know if this was a conscious decision but I think with a levels adjustment it would help tone it down to a better level.
